Adam Atlasi
Adam Laith Atlasi is an Actor, Director and a mother tongue, English Language Facilitator from Manchester, United Kingdom. He trained in Brechtian performance and Frantic Assembly physical technique at Sandbach School Specialist Arts College, before going on to Graduate from Lancaster University with a First Class Honours Degree in Contemporary Theatre Studies. He also trained in Kristin Linklater’s ‘Unlocking the Natural Voice’ technique under director, Timothy Douglas, at the Birmingham School of Acting. As a performer, Adam performs with Ut Severis Seges Theatre Company, with whom he has toured to New Zealand and Hong Kong as well as 5 performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s largest, international arts festival. In 2010, Adam spent 8 months teaching Drama and English in Hong Kong and in 2015, after university, he moved to Italy as a touring ‘Theatre In Education’ performer, working in schools all over the country. Now, he lives in Milan and his objective at Teatrando School is to create a immersive programme for all age groups completely in English. As a director, his specialities are creating theatre challenges the world we live in, devising, pre-cognitive engagement and textual analysis. By combining these with his English Language Facilitator role in a purpose built, unique programme, his activities will not only improve his students English skills, but also their self confidence and ability to critically engage with the wider world.
